Whose name comes to your mind when you think about the most consistent batsman in world’s biggest league?
Suresh Raina.. Obviously he has made the most impact as a T-20 specialist in Indian Cricket. His records speak for him. He was the first guy to hit a T-20 century for India at the international level.
Talking about the present situation, Rishabh Pant hasn’t performed up to the mark. Everyone else who was given chance before the World Cup failed to deliver.
So why Suresh Raina considers his chances of getting the spot. Clearly he has lot of runs behind his back. To be precise he always made impact in T-20 format. The lack of runs in One Day format was the actual reason of his removal from the team.
He is actually the only player from India to hit 8000 T-20 runs. Thus he actually does justice with the term T-20 specialist. His neck of getting runs right from first delivery will definitely help people like Virat to play as an anchor through the innings.
The problem with Suresh Raina is that he hasn’t performed that well in the last 2 IPL seasons. Also he hasn’t done well at Domestic level. But still he has always performed for Indian team in the shortest format.
This domestic season can be crucial for him if he wants to make a come back. But definitely a player of Suresh Raina’s caliber has some cricket left in him.

Shreyas Iyer is fine but going into such a big tournament you should always have more options.

Then why don’t u try youngsters.Even raina is not playing domestic cricket.
