Ravi Bishnoi : A Jodhpuri Guy On The Way To Rule World Cricket

Shubhman Gill, Prithvi Shaw, Devdutt Padikkal, Priyam Garg, Abhishek Sharma, Shivam Mavi, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Kartik Tyagi and a few more.

This is the list of youngsters doing really well in IPL 2020 and this list keeps on adding new names everytime.

But there’s one guy who’s really special in this list.

It’s none other than Ravi Bishnoi.

A 20-year kid coming from the city of Jodhpur that has not much cricket background, ends up not only representing India in Under – 19 Cricket World Cup but actually leaving his mark at the top level right in his first few appearances.

He didn’t stop there. Right in his first major tournament at the senior level, he is creating some real big issues for the opposition batsmen.

Who can even imagine a 20-year kid will come and get wickets of dangerous Warner and Bairstow when none of the other bowlers look like doing anything at all.

It needs to be mentioned here that Warner was on 52 and Bairstow was on 97 and were seeing the cricket ball as a Football when he got them out.

Eventually, destructed the whole batting line up of Sunrisers Hyderabad.

That’s the reason why he got a whopping 2 Crore in his first ever auction.

The best part about Ravi Bishnoi is the kind of heart he has as a leg spinner.

Even if he goes for a few boundaries, he doesn’t change his natural line and lengths.

Against the game against Rajasthan Royals, Rahul Tewatia was not able to middle a single ball when Bishnoi was bowling.

Once his spell was over, he eventually destroyed all the other bowlers.

Even though he is a leggie, his economy in this tournament is 8.13 which is very rare.

But this is not the first time he has impressed cricketing world with his skills.

Who can forget the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup specially the final against Bangladesh where he was the lone warrior for us.

He got 4 key wickets for mere 30 runs and kept India in the competition till his spell wasn’t over.

In the same competition he got 4 wickets without conceding a single run against Japan.

He finished the spell conceding just 5 runs from his 8 overs grabbing those 4 wickets.

I have possibly never seen such figures in International Cricket.

Ravi eventually went on to become the highest wicket taker in the tournament by claiming 17 scalps.

This guy has the potential to be a big star. A star that can rule World Cricket.

And as a Jodhpuri it feels great to see him improve leaps and bounds.

The only thing to see is how does he maintain his composure and keeps improving every day.
