Hi Guys,
So we are done with T20I Series and ODI Series in Australia and now the campaign move towards the Test Series.
Who can forget the heroics of Indian Team in 2018 – 19 series down under where they got a thrilling 2-1 series victory.
And so the Indian Team is back in Australia looking to recreate the history.

However, things are really difficult for Team India this time.
Let’s look at a few factors that will be crucial in this series :
1. Injuries
India will be missing Rohit Sharma in the first two tests.
Ishant Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja are injured as well and it’s not clear when they will join the team.
Virat Kohli will not be available after the first test as he will leave for the birth of his first child.
On the other hand, even Australia has some injury concerns.
David Warner is not fit for the first test while his replacement Will Pucovski also got injured in the practice game.

India have only played 1 Pink Ball test while Australia have already played 7 of them.
Australia is the most successful and unbeaten team in Pink Ball Tests while India has got their solitary win against Bangladesh at home.
3. Return of Smith and Warner
Indian Team did win their last test series here but in that series Australia were missing Steve Smith and David Warner due to their suspension.
They are back into business now and have piled up huge runs since then.
For India, the most crucial players are Cheteshwar Pujara and their pace trio that will miss Ishant Sharma.

Pujara was in a purple patch as he got 521 runs in the last series and himself accepted that it is probably the best he has ever batted.
Jasprit Bumrah got 21 scalps and was crucial to India’s success.
He got brilliant support from Mohammad Shami and Ishant Sharma.
It will be important to see how Virat Kohli sets up the tone in the first match itself.
India have already announced their XI for the day night test :
Mayank Agarwal, Prithvi Shaw, Virat Kohli (c), Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane (vc), Hanuma Vihari, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah

Don’t know about the result. But really excited for this and at the same time sad as well cause I am in the middle of my pre boards.
India’s main problem has been injury concerns. Fingers crossed.

Hi, as an Australian i am this time barracking for India to win the test series. Australian cricket needs to have punished Smith and Warner more as leaders for their infamous sandpaper stunt. (that’s just not cricket!.). India on the other hand are serious professional and hungry for the win and deserve it. Mitchell Stark will be a problem though. Hope you are safe and well. Greetings from Oz.

Heyy Gary,
Great insights from your side!!!
I believe it’s going to be a tough series for both the teams. Indians are definitely hungry for this series win.

I had to look up what a pink ball test was. I did not realise that the colour of the ball would make so much difference!
I know I’m no cricket expert (well actually I knew nothing about cricket before I read your blog ) but I love reading about what I don’t know.

First of all, thanks a lot for going through the blog.
It’s really great to read that you actually went on to learn what a pink ball test is just out of curiosity.
Really appreciate that 😊
