Hello Guys,
So which is the one thing that every cricket fan is missing this year??
You got it right!!!!
The Biggest Indian Sports festival our very own IPL.
Whether it’s the office going professionals or students having their summer vacations in the month of April-May, have become habitual of being in front of the TV screen supporting their favourite team and favourite players.
This is not the case in 2020. Due to The Corona Virus Pandemic, it first got delayed till 15th of April. But as per the latest declaration by IPL governing council, it has been suspended till further notice.
Thus the only option BCCI is left with is to organize IPL in September – November season. This completely depends on ICC’s decision on World T-20.
So what will be the impact if IPL 2020 gets cancelled??
Let us start with the big man MS Dhoni. I have already discussed in one of my previous blogs about how MS was eyeing his comeback with this year’s IPL.
He was looking in a great touch. His fitness level was always good. Also he trying to overcome his weakness against the wrist spinners.
But if IPL 2020 gets cancelled MS will have to look for different plans for his comeback for the World T-20.
What about some other players for whom this season was crucial?
Someone like Yashasvi Jaiswal who is in news not just about his heroics in Under-19 World Cup but also for his struggle to reach the top level.
It would be great for him to play with the Royals as they don’t have much Indian players.
The mighty English Captain Eoin Morgan, who is not getting much chances for the last few years in IPL is in supreme touch.
He can rule this season as the momentum is with the English Players and he likes playing in Indian conditions.
Players like Cottrell and Neesham who are ready for their first ever IPL. Both of them have played really well not just in World Cup but throughout this season.
The big tall Aussie pacer Josh Hazelwood is eyeing his debut with the mighty CSK. It will be great to see if he could leave some impact in Subcontinental conditions.
Players like Sam Curran and Shimron Hetmyer, who have changed franchise and are looking to leave an impact with their new teams.
There are also players like Suresh Raina and Robin Uthappa who are looking for a good season so that the selectors consider them for the next two World T-20.
But all these players will be able to showcase their game only if IPL 2020 actually happens.
The whole cricket world is looking upto this IPL season. It would be disheartening to see if it gets cancelled.
Keeping my fingers crossed🤞……
So guys, do comment what you think about this IPL season.
