Hello Guys,
For the last few months there have been speculations about which two teams will reach the World Test Championship Final in the Mecca of Cricket ‘Lords‘
This series between India & England started with hell lot of permutations and combinations about the final spot.
While New Zealand booked their spot comfortably, it was quite tough race among India, England and Australia.
Team India, with their Herculean victory down under in the Border – Gavaskar Trophy and then making a commendable comeback in this series have now thrown both England and Australia out of the contention.
The biggest point of talk in last series was India’s bench strength. It proved to be vital in this series as well.
In the absence of Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel has done a great job and took 27 wickets in just 3 Tests which had some serious impact on this series.

There were moments when English Batsmen looked completely out of touch against him.
Washington Sundar, though didn’t get much chance with the ball but had two brilliant knocks with the bat.
He missed out on his first hundred as he was left alone at 96* as Axar, Ishant and Siraj couldn’t hold on much.

Mohammed Siraj was handy with the ball in absence of Jasprit Bumrah.
While most senior batsmen didn’t do much in this series, it was Rohit Sharma who proved why he’s so crucial in test format as well.

His knock of 161 in Chennai was really crucial.
Rishabh Pant was quite impactful throughout this series.
He got hundred in the last test and was really outrageous while playing a reverse sweep against in form James Anderson.
Now, let’s shift our focus to the big event….
We can understand the importance of World Test Championship Final when someone like Ishant Sharma compares it with World Cup.
Let’s see how India will perform against New Zealand in the final….
So, how do you rate India’s performance in this series??
